Giving Back

From Brian:

A bit about me…I am an all-breed handler based in Dallas, Texas and I have the most amazing job.  I get to work and play with the most incredible dogs.  Each dog is a testament to the sheer joy and gratitude that I receive from handling them.  They all have their own amazing stories and are glowing examples of what a little love and leadership can do for confidence and  outstanding showmanship.  The end result is a successful show career.  How great is that?  To top it off, I am blessed with an incredible family.  My son Skyler is the most amazing kid in the world.

My world has always included dogs.  Dogs are my passion, whether it’s training, behavior modification, health and nutrition, showing them, or just enjoying their company.  My goal is to capture a dog’s essence, their spirit, and character and express it in the ring.  It is a dog’s character and confidence which drive the most successful show careers.  It is my passion and love of each dog that fuels each success story.

Why dogs?  The answer is simple; I love being with them.

Because I have been so blessed, I like to give back.  Every year I donate a portion of my handling fees from the Houston show to Take the Lead, an organization that helps handlers in need.  As well, I contribute to the Canine Health Foundation, and mentor Junior handlers in the sport. I am also a licensed Juniors judge and became one to encourage others to join the sport.
